LEADER is a community-led approach to local development delivering EU funding into rural businesses and communities through Ireland’s Rural Development Programme 2014- 2022.
The programme promotes social inclusion, poverty reduction and the economic development of rural areas. It does this through targeted supports that focus on themes and priorities identified in the Longford Local Development Strategy – a community-led action plan for Longford.
LEADER Themes and Sub-Theme
County Longford was allocated €7,597,623 under the Rural Development Programme 2014- 2020 to support the sustainable development of the county.
