A Volunteer Centre Support Worker with County Longford Volunteer Centre

35 hours per week for a fixed term until the end of December 2017

County Longford Volunteer Centre is a project of Longford Community Resources clg.  The Volunteer Centre promotes the value of volunteering and aims to increase the range and quality of volunteering in County Longford.  The project has a countywide brief and is based in Longford Town.

Longford Community Resources clg is now seeking a temporary Volunteer Centre Support Worker to support the work of the Volunteer Centre.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years employment/experience directly or in a related field;
  • A commitment to and an understanding of volunteering;
  • Excellent communication, administrative and IT skills;
  • A full clean Driving Licence and access to own transport.


This is a fixed contract of employment until the end of 2017, however this may be extended should further funding become available.  Commencement of employment is subject to successful completion of Garda Vetting.  A probationary period will apply.
